All lovers of leisure activity are hereby invited to the trans-border bicycle trail “Museums of The Beskids” which runs through picturesque parts of the Beskid Niski (The Lower Beskid ) and Pogórze. The trail has been marked out by the County of Krosno in co-operation with the Project partners: the Local Tourist Organization “Beskid Niski” and municipalities of: Chorkówka, Dukla, Iwonicz Zdrój Korczyna, Krościenko Wyżne, Miejsce Piastowe, Rymanów, Wojaszówka, Krosno, and from the Slovak side the County Offices of: Svidnik, Stropkov, Humenne.

As the result of stormy history of the Polish – Slovakian border region the number of historic objects that remained intact on both sides is not very significant. That is why museums are especially important, carrying and displaying exhibits and collections that testify to cultural richness of this region. It is the museums as well as the remaining historic objects surrounded by a beautiful nature all along the trail that decide about the exceptional attractiveness of the trail.
The bicycle trail is a loop that connects 21 museum objects of the world, domestic or local class. With its less frequented local and well paved roads it runs through the most attractive parts of the Krosno County and the Counties of Svidnik, Stropkov and Medzilaborce. On the Polish side the trail is marked with direction plates branded with “Beskidzkie Muzea” (Museums of the Beskids) logo and information boards by which bicycle stands have been installed. On the Slovakian side the trail is incorporated into already existing bicycle trails.
